Individual Caramel Tarts
My husband loves anything caramel so when I had to cater for my daughter's 3rd birthday party I thought I'd make some caramel tarts. I haven't made them before and found the recipe in a supermarket magazine. They were easy to make and tasted incredible.
12 Frozen Sweet Pastry Tart Shells
395g can sweetened condensed milk
2 Tablespoons golden syrup
40g butter
12 Chocolate melts
Preheat oven to 180C (or 160g fanforced). Place tart shells onto a baking tray and cook for 10 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool completely.
Combine condensed milk, golden syrup and butter in a small saucepan. Stir over very low heat for about 10 minutes until lightly golden in colour and thickened.
Spoon caramel mixture into tart shells and leave to set. Place a chocolate melt on each tart.
